JAAOS Study Exposes Importance of Child Safety Seats for Children between Four and Eight – Kiley Law Group, LLC
Date:6/24/2013

nd to be effective. As more studies continue to focus on children between four and eight years old, evidence continues to develop that supports booster seats for children up- to four feet nine inches tall. I highly doubt that the majority of Americans are placing their seven or eight year old in a booster seat in the back of their vehicles, but these studies recommend it.

“We have seen first-hand how the improper use of seat belts and car seats can lead to serious injury or death. These studies are the first step towards a better-informed public and safer kids. If putting our children in a booster seat until they are eight will greatly increase their chance of survival in a car accident, parents need to know. Hopefully we will continue to see the evidence develop and the information spread,” said A
ttorney Kiley.
