ATLANTA, July 30 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- J.D. Power and Associates announced that Kaiser Permanente of Georgia has the "Highest Member Satisfaction among Commercial Health Plans in the South Atlantic Region" according to the 2008 National Health Insurance Plan Study(SM).
This is the first J.D. Power and Associates award for Kaiser Permanente of Georgia. The J.D. Power and Associates study evaluated seven plans in Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina on coverage and benefits; choice of doctors, hospitals and pharmacies; information and communication; approval process; claims processing; insurance statements; and customer service.

Kaiser Permanente received the highest numerical score among large commercial health plans according to the study, which was based on 37,060 total member responses surveyed in November and December 2007.
