Isagenix Launches Kids’ Smoothie Whose Sales Will Help Feed Children in Need

Parents craving a nutritious and delicious snack for their kids have a new option that will not only nourish their families but also help feed children in need. IsaKids® Super Smoothie is one of three products launched yesterday at Isagenix International’s Global Celebration 2019 event in Nashville, Tennessee. The global health and wellness company also debuted Organic Greens, an updated version of its Isagenix Greens™, and a new flavor of its popular IsaDelight® chocolates: Milk Chocolate With Peanut Butter Cup Flavor.

For each bag of IsaKids Super Smoothie purchased, Isagenix will donate one meal to a child in need through the ISA Foundation, the company’s 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The foundation’s mission is to provide healthy nutrition and support for underserved children, wellness education for all, and aid for those affected by natural disasters.

IsaKids Super Smoothie: Finding Common Ground Between Parents and Kids
IsaKids Super Smoothie, available in Strawberry Blast and Ice Cream Cookie Crunch Flavor, was created for kids ages 4 and older. Available in the United States, Puerto Rico, and Canada, the smoothie’s nutrients support sustained energy, help build strong bones, and maintain healthy growth and development.

“Snacks can be tricky for families because what tastes good isn’t always good for you. IsaKids Super Smoothie provides much-needed common ground on this issue,” said Isagenix Chief Executive Officer Travis Ogden. “Our smoothie tastes great and is filled with nutrients that will help kids grow and thrive. It can be prepared quickly and easily, making it a terrific snack option for today’s busy families.”

To prepare the smoothie, two scoops of the product are added to 6 fluid ounces of cold, purified water and then blended or shaken well for 30 seconds.

IsaKids Super Smoothie is made with natural ingredients. It does not contain artificial flavors, colors, or sweeteners. Each serving provides:

  • 22 essential vitamins and minerals.
  • 10 grams of high-quality undenatured protein sourced from grass-fed cows that are not treated with hormones or routine antibiotics.
  • 3 grams of fiber.
  • 15% of the recommended daily iron intake.

Ogden said company leaders were thrilled to debut IsaKids Super Smoothie not only because it’s a nutritious snack option but also because its sales will allow the ISA Foundation to nourish children in need.

While consumers can purchase IsaKids Super Smoothie directly from Isagenix, the company recommends ordering through independent distributors. In the United States and Puerto Rico, preferred customer pricing is US$27.99 for a 20.7-ounce bag of IsaKids Super Smoothie, which contains 14 servings. In Canada, preferred customer pricing is CA$31.99.

Organic Greens: Helping Consumers Meet Dietary Guidelines
While the original Isagenix Greens launched in 2007 has helped Isagenix customers complement their vegetable intake and consume more phytonutrients, which are essential to health and wellness, company leaders decided to take the product to the next level. The new Organic Greens packs two servings of vegetables into each scoop. This is an important enhancement given that 87% of the U.S. population ages 1 and older consumes less than the recommended daily intake of vegetables, according to the Department of Agriculture’s 2015-2020 Dietary Guidelines for Americans, 8th Edition (Figure 2-1). The guidelines suggest that a healthy eating pattern for someone who consumes 2,000 calories per day would include a 2 ½-cup equivalent of vegetables daily (Table A3-1), which equals five ½-cup equivalent servings per day.

Organic Greens includes phytonutrients from organic ingredients such as kale, spinach, turmeric, chlorella, and spirulina. Each serving is 30 calories with 0 grams of added sugar. The product, which has a refreshing cucumber mint flavor, can be mixed into an IsaLean® Shake (a high-quality, protein-rich meal replacement shake) or water. Organic Greens can be consumed by kids ages 4 and older.

The new product aligns with many people’s desire for organic and clean-ingredient products. It’s certified organic by the Department of Agriculture, and ingredients do not include genetically modified organisms (GMOs) or prohibited pesticides. The plant-based product also aligns with the growing plant-based market. It’s suitable for vegan diets.

In the United States and Puerto Rico, preferred customer pricing is US$36.99 for a 9.7-ounce canister of Organic Greens, which contains 30 servings. In Canada, preferred customer pricing is CA$41.99. The product is expected to launch in Australia and New Zealand in September.

IsaDelight: Satisfying Cravings With Chocolate and Peanut Butter
When it came to IsaDelight chocolates, a customer favorite for satisfying cravings, Isagenix independent distributors were passionate about adding a new flavor combination: chocolate and peanut butter. Isagenix listened, and Milk Chocolate With Peanut Butter Cup Flavor has joined the IsaDelight family, which also includes Milk Chocolate, Milk Chocolate With Sea Salt and Caramel Flavor, Dark Chocolate, and Dark Chocolate With Mint Flavor.

Infused with green tea extract and amino acids, IsaDelight in Milk Chocolate With Peanut Butter Cup Flavor is prepared using Belgian-style low-temperature processing. Each individually wrapped serving has 70 calories with 0 grams of trans fat.

IsaDelight chocolates can be used on “Shake Days” and “Cleanse Days.”

  • On Shake Days, individuals replace two meals with IsaLean Shake and/or IsaLean PRO Shake, which support efforts to burn calories and lose unwanted fat.
  • On weekly Cleanse Days, individuals engage in nutritional cleansing, a nutritionally supported program designed to help them feel nourished and energized.
