BETHESDA, Md., Jan. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- GetWellNetwork, Inc., a leading provider of Interactive Patient Care (IPC) solutions, today announced that Irwin Studen has joined the company's executive team as senior vice president and chief financial officer. With extensive experience in the healthcare and technology industries, Studen will oversee and manage financial operations for GetWellNetwork.

"Irwin brings to the GetWellNetwork team an impressive background in driving revenue growth for leading healthcare technology companies," said Michael O'Neil, Jr., founder and CEO of GetWellNetwork, Inc. "He will be a tremendous addition to our company, and we look forward to working with him to further grow GetWellNetwork's success and leadership in the IPC industry."

Prior to joining GetWellNetwork, Studen consulted with a portfolio company of GTCR Golda Rauner, LLC, a $9 billion private equity firm, where he assisted with mergers and acquisitions in the healthcare IT industry. Specifically, he managed the process of identifying and qualifying $50-$500 million revenue targets, as well as developing the modeling, valuation, financing and due diligence of the opportunities. Previously, he served as senior vice president and chief financial officer of SXC Health Solutions, Inc., a leading provider of software systems and ASP solutions to the managed care and pharmacy benefit management industries. In this role, he managed all accounting/finance, administrative, corporate development and investor relations activities, as well as helped grow the company over a five year period from a $40 million to more than $400 million market capitalization through a combination of organic growth and acquisitions.

Studen has also held a number of full-time and interim CFO assignments with public and private companies, including Wireless Matrix, a leading provider of mobile resource management solutions, Marketswitch Corporation, a provider of offer optimization software solutions sold to Experian, and CoStar Group, the leading provider of commercial real estate information to the brokerage industry.

"The impact that GetWellNetwork has made in the healthcare space and in improving the patient experience in particular in a relatively short period is most impressive," said Irwin Studen, senior vice president and chief financial officer of GetWellNetwork, Inc. "It is an exciting time in the industry, and I'm thrilled to help GetWellNetwork expand its reach and achieve its business objectives."
