San Diego, CA (PRWEB) -- The Chopra Center web site has joined the ranks of more than five million Internet sites banned by the Iranian government since 2008. In the days following Iran's presidential elections, the Iranian government has clamped down on Internet access, banning or limiting access to news and social media websites including Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
"Iranian citizens who previously had access to the Chopra Center's online resources, podcasts, and blogs can no longer get the information they are seeking because of this most recent crackdown by Iran's government," said the Chopra Center's chief operating officer and lead educator, David Greenspan.
