InventHelp® Client Develops Oxygen-Tank Accessory (JMC-1162)
Date:11/5/2013

Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) November 05, 2013

Hospital patients are often hooked up to an array of medical devices, which really hinders their mobility. In order to make them more mobile, an inventor from Fort Smith, Ark., developed the OX- IV.

The device offers a convenient way to secure an oxygen tank to an IV pole. The unit makes it easier for a C.O.P.D. patient who is hooked up to an IV to walk around without help. The accessory eliminates the need to wheel around an oxygen cart. This saves time and effort. The design lessens the chance of the oxygen hose getting twisted around the IV pole. It is designed to help the patient to get some exercise. Additionally, it makes it so that there is no chance of the patient forgetting the oxygen when running to the bathroom.

The inventor's personal experience inspired the idea. "I was hooked up to any oxygen tank and an IV," he said. "In order to get around, I had to put the oxygen cart on the legs of the IV pole to move faster. This got me thinking that there had to be a better way to do this."

The original design was submitted to the Telemarketing office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
