Into Action Treatment Sponsors NOPE Annual Candlelight Vigil
Date:10/21/2013

Boynton Beach, FL (PRWEB) October 21, 2013

To honor those men and women who have been lost to addiction, Into Action Treatment will assist with the sponsoring of the NOPE (Narcotics Overdose Prevention and Education) Annual Candlelight Vigil. The event is scheduled to take place on October 24, 2013. The vigil will be held at the Gosman Amphitheatre at the Kravis Center from 6 to 7 p.m. Into Action is one of several sponsors of the event. The vigil is especially meaningful to us because we have lost clients to the disease. Our CEO, Andrey Rossin, has himself overcome overdoses and coma in the past.

Because many of the clients of Into Action will be attending the vigil, the entire community will be able to come together to recognize the lives that have been lost to substance abuse. The event is designed to encourage others who may be suffering from addictive tendencies to seek help as soon as possible. Professionals and family members can help addicts turn around their lives so that they can engage with the world once again.

Removing the Stigma

The task force has long been dedicated to removing the stigma that has so often been associated with addiction. Candlelight vigils are meant to show that men and women who are suffering from addiction are not weak. In fact, addicts have certain biological or neurological tendencies that make them vulnerable to substance abuse. Addiction is an illness that requires treatment plans from certified professionals. Only when the stigma has been effectively eliminated will more people seek help at professional facilities. Educating others about the disease will ultimately help save lives going forward.

Encouraging Addicts to Seek Help

Addiction is in many cases a lifelong illness that must be managed carefully. The NOPE Task Force holds the annual candlelight vigil so that addicts and their families may begin to understand how serious the illness really is. I
