Date:6/11/2013

Chicaco, IL (PRWEB) June 11, 2013

Interstate Plastics Medical Division will be present at the Chicago Orthopaedic Manufacturing & Technology Exposition and Conference (OMTEC), June 12th and 13th, highlighting advancements and continued research and development in medical grade plastics and their growing range of orthopedic applications and uses in the medical industry. Attendees can learn more by visiting booth #823-825 from 9AM to 6PM.

During the event, Interstate Plastics’ Medical Division will focus on orthopedics applications, including orthopedic sizing and trial implants. Representatives from the Medical Division will be available to provide a comprehensive overview of their complete line of medical grade plastics for devices including surgical instruments, diagnostic equipment, dialysis units, drug delivery systems, surgical carriers, caddies and trays, dental equipment, instruments and healing caps.

Interstate Plastics Medical Division provides a range of solutions that are FDA, USP Class VI, and ISO 10993 approved, including a variety of plastics with a radio opacifer (XRO) that are x-ray opaque for clear visibility of a component on fluoroscopy and x-rays. XRO materials address new challenges created by minimally invasive and image guided surgery.

Interstate Plastics works hand in hand with manufacturers to provide the expertise needed to assist engineers, designers, and fabricators within the medical industry; offering complete lot and batch traceability and providing all test data including FDA compliance, biocompatibility, resistance to sterilization, as well as material thermal, electrical, chemical resistance and mechanical properties.

Since 1980, Interstate Plastics has earned a reputation for providing high quality medical plastics with excellent customer service and superior technical support. With over seven stocking locations throughout the country, Interstate Plastics is committed to serving the orthopaedic, medical and dental industries nation-wide. Visit booth #823-825 from 9AM to 6PM during the show or contact (877) 695-2594 for more information.
