Internet Auction Site LabX Acquires Lab Manager Magazine(R) Print and Digital Publications, E-Newsletters, Website and Conference

MIDLAND, Ontario, April 17 /PRNewswire/ -- LabX.com, the first business-to-business internet auction and marketplace for scientific products announced today that it has acquired the print and digital publication Lab Manager Magazine(R) from Vicon Publishing, Inc., Amherst , NH . Vicon Publishing will continue to publish their existing magazines: ALN Europe(TM), ALN(R) Magazine, Controlled Environments Magazine(R), and Forensic Magazine(R). Lab Manager Magazine delivers focused content to an audience of laboratory professionals.

The acquisition of Lab Manager Magazine and LabManager.com and their BPA audited 30,000 subscribers will leverage the global reach of LabX.com serving thousands of scientific professionals each day who buy laboratory equipment. The addition of the print publication solidifies the LabX operational model as a marketplace where companies can locate both new and used laboratory products.

Under the new ownership, Lab Manager Magazine will release the next issue this summer. The magazine will operate initially as a bi-monthly publication. The core audience of subscribers responsible for their laboratory operations will continue to be the focus of the magazine.
