International Essential Tremor Foundation to Facilitate Educational Seminar at Pennsylvania Hospital on the Neurological Disorder, Essential Tremor

The International Essential Tremor Foundation (IETF) will host a free seminar in Philadelphia, PA on the life-altering neurological disorder called essential tremor (ET). The seminar will take place on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Pennsylvania Hospital’s Zubrow Auditorium located at the corner of 8th and Spruce Sts. The program will run from 10:00 a.m. to noon, with a question and answer session with the physicians directly following the presentation.

Essential tremor patients, family members, caregivers, and health care providers are invited to attend this special, free, educational seminar. Local physicians James Morley, MD, PhD – Movement Disorder Neurologist with the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine and Hanane Chaibainou, CRNP – Neurosurgeon with Penn Medicine Department of Neurosurgery will discuss the diagnosis process for essential tremor, commonly prescribed medications, surgical options, current scientific research, support groups and more. Attendees will be provided with an essential tremor information packet to take home and share with friends, family and their own health care providers. Refreshments will be served and parking is free.
