Interface new Catheter Solutions HSO-250 Heat Setting Oven for PTA and PTCA Catheters is Compact, Easy to Operate and Cost Effective

Laguna Niguel, California (PRWEB) October 29, 2009 -- Interface new Catheter Solutions HSO-250 Heat Setting Oven provides a cost-effective approach to heat treating of wrapped balloons on balloon catheters. Heat treating can improve fold memory retention and reduce the wrapped profile after unsheathing. Use of the HSO-250 allows reduction of cycle times for expensive fluting and wrapping equipment. The HSO-250 can heat set multiple balloon catheters and provides precise heat and time setting options.

Interface uses the HSO-250 for its contract manufacturing of balloon catheters and has observed an overall reduction in the wrapped balloon profile by several French sizes when unsheathed shortly after wrapping. This lower profile is particularly useful when a stent is to be crimped on the catheter. The HSO-250 facilitates the manufacture of balloon catheters with low profile sheath compatibility.

The HSO-250 multiple balloon catheter heat chambers have precise and uniform temperature control. The frong panel chambers can accommodate balloon lengths up to 150 mm while the side panel chambers are capable of heat setting longer length balloons up to 250 mm. Each heat chamber has a tapered guide for easy insertion and to keep the sheathed balloon centered, preventing bending and eliminating direct contact. The heater remains on and maintains the preset temperature for consistent results and reduced cycle times. The HSO-250 is simple to operate for repeatable results.
