New York, NY (PRWEB) May 24, 2013
The Institute for Integrative Nutrition, the world’s largest nutrition school, is happy to announce that it has donated $10,000 to the Cleveland Courage Fund, a charity that supports the women held captive in Cleveland, Ohio.
“When the news came out on Monday, May 6 that Gina de Jesus, Michelle Knight, and Amanda Berry and her daughter had escaped from a Cleveland home after being held captive for a decade, we were shocked and horrified,” said Integrative Nutrition Founder, Director, and Primary Teacher Joshua Rosenthal, MScEd. “They exhibited tremendous courage and resolve. I’m pleased to contribute to the Cleveland Courage Fund and encourage everyone in the Integrative Nutrition community to show their support for these brave women.”
The Cleveland Courage Fund of the Cleveland Foundation was established by Cleveland council members Brian Cummins, Matt Zone, and Dona Brady after the discovery of the women. 100% of the money raised will benefit the survivors, and the Cleveland Foundation will not assess any fees on the fund. Donations to date total more than $650,000 with over 6,800 individual donations.
Integrative Nutrition is committed to spreading a ripple effect of health and happiness around the world, and has donated more than $450,000 in recent years to charities and organizations that are working towards a healthier future.
“It’s impossible to imagine how long and arduous the road to recovery will be for these women,” said Rosenthal. “I’m pleased that at the very least, we can contribute to this fund and know that all money will be to their benefit. Together, we can make these women’s lives a bit easier and make a difference in the world.”
