Inspired Solar Technologies (IST) Names James E. Green as CEO

Emerging solar tracking system developer chooses proven business veteran to lead charge into burgeoning solar tracker market.

Roseville, CA (PRWEB) January 28, 2009 -- Inspired Solar Technologies, a leading developer of tracking systems for the solar power industry, is pleased to announce that James E. Green has accepted the role of Chief Executive Officer and is already taking an active role in leading IST’s charge into the solar tracking sector. “When I learned of the innovations going on at IST, I knew I had to be part of seeing these great products come to market,” explains Green.

Founded by successful industrial imaging pioneer, Kenneth W. Oosting, who’s DVT SmartImage Sensor took the industrial automation market by storm, IST’s ARRAYBOTTM solar trackers combine proven hydraulic actuators with patent-pending feed-forward motion control systems to produce tracking solutions designed to deliver an unmatched combination of strength, reliability, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness. “Jim is the ideal leader to guide IST into the exciting solar marketplace. He possesses impeccable business sense and we are delighted that he has accepted the role of CEO,” says Oosting.

Green and IST recently attended the Solar Power International tradeshow in Anaheim, California where they exhibited the ARRAYBOTTM in a booth sponsored by Siemens. “If interest at the show is any indication of the reception this new product will receive, we are in for some very exciting times ahead,” asserts Green. IST will unveil its first beta system next month on a site adjacent to their Roseville, California offices. Additional installations are in the works for at least two other California locations and IST is in talks with
