Innoventz Certified to Score Both the SF-36v2 and SF-12v2 Health Surveys

QualityMetric recognizes Innoventz as QM Certified Scoring Partner

LINCOLN, R.I., June 22 /PRNewswire/ -- QualityMetric Incorporated announced today that Innoventz, a clinical research organization (CRO) for medical device companies, is the first CRO to qualify as a QM Certified Scoring Partner. QualityMetric developed the QM Certified Scoring Partner program to address a major concern for many in the life sciences industry -- the accuracy and integrity of patient-reported outcome (PRO) data.

Survey administration mix-ups, data entry mistakes, and mathematical miscues are a few of the common errors in administering PROs during clinical trials. These kinds of errors have cost companies millions and delayed the introduction of new treatments. While PROs are powerful tools that provide valuable and necessary clinical trial data, simple formatting errors or minor programming mistakes can easily lead to incorrect survey scores and misinterpreted results.

"When it comes to measuring health outcomes, the intake, scoring, and reporting of unimpeachable PRO data is crucial to QualityMetric and our clients. Toward this end, we developed the QM Certified Scoring Partner program to recognize industry leaders with the same commitment to excellence," says Gus Gardner, President and COO of QualityMetric. "We are proud to announce that Innoventz is the first CRO to qualify for this program."

Innoventz is "QM Certified" for survey administration and data scoring of the SF-36v2(R) and SF-12v2(R) Health Surveys. Innoventz has added these surveys to their "ready to go" case report form (CRF) package. By utilizing this CRF package, sponsor companies can dramatically reduce the setup time and cost for a clinical trial, while still taking advantage of all features in Oracle Clinical, an industry-leading clinical data management system (CDMS). Oracle Clinical is 21 CFR Part 11 compliant, meaning that it meets the FDA's guidelines regarding electronic records and signatures. Surveys are scored in real time utilizing QualityMetric certified algorithms, and responses saved in the web-based Oracle remote data capture (RDC) interface. The PRO data and associated scores are captured as part of the overall clinical data set and all changes are captured in the audit trail. QualityMetric has determined that Innoventz is administering the survey forms appropriately and has the latest and most accurate scoring algorithms in place.

"We are excited to partner with QualityMetric and provide PRO scoring in real time through our Oracle Clinical CDMS. This solution exemplifies our vision of providing innovative and industry-leading solutions to the clinical trial marketplace," says Osman Qamar, President of Innoventz.
