Nevella(R) with Probiotics developed to enhance health

INDIANAPOLIS, April 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Heartland Sweeteners LLC in conjunction with Ganeden Biotech has developed the world's first probiotic sweetener, Nevella(R) with Probiotics, which is designed to boost the immune system and promote digestive health. Additionally, according to a recently published study, the probiotic in Nevella(R) has been shown to provide some protection against certain strains of influenza.

With no calories, Nevella(R) with Probiotics is a healthy alternative to sugar and is a great sugar replacement in coffee, tea and baked goods.

"A healthy digestive system is key to strengthening your immune system," said Mike Servie, President of Heartland Sweeteners. "Nevella(R) with Probiotics is a great alternative to yogurt and dairy drinks that aim to improve immunity."

The partnership between Heartland Sweeteners and Ganeden Biotech, which makes the patented probiotic bacteria, GanedenBC30, was announced in March. GanedenBC30 is uniquely able to survive manufacturing and baking temperatures and maintain the health benefits of bacteria in the digestive tract. Nevella(R) with Probiotics is the first product created by the collaboration. Other offerings are in the works.

Nevella(R) with Probiotics is being distributed nationally in retail grocery stores, and is available online. For retailer and online shipping information, visit www.nevella.com.
