Ingenious Med Hires New CEO to Maintain and Further Expand Company Development

ATLANTA, Dec. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Ingenious Med (IM) welcomes new CEO, S. Hart Williford. Williford joins IM, the leader in inpatient practice management solutions, with an extensive background as a leader in healthcare, software, revenue management, medical services, sales, and digital media.

Founder and nine-year CEO, Dr. Steven Liu, is confident Williford will enhance the company's success and development in all sectors, as he steps into the role. Liu, a successful hospitalist and businessman, will remain chairman of the board and CMO. He gladly brings Williford in as CEO to shepherd IM through rapid growth and evolving opportunities.

"I searched for the perfect person to take my place as CEO and was impressed by Hart Williford's extensive experience," said Liu. "He is an exceptional businessman and a genuinely good person. He's quite accomplished at taking companies at our current stage and launching them to the next level, and we are very excited to have him."

Williford comes to IM from Memorial University Medical Center (Memorial) in Savannah where he served on the board and as Senior Vice President. His responsibilities included involvement with Memorial's Cancer Institute, IT, marketing and strategic planning, foundation and office-sponsored programs, business development and physician relations and recruitment. Memorial is a two-state, 35-county hospital with more than 530 beds and $800 million in revenue.

Williford's business profile also includes senior management positions from Boston to Hong Kong with companies such as VeriSign Corporation, IBM, AT&T and Digital Equipment Corporation. Relative past successes include H.O. Systems' (a software company serving the cell phone industry) growth from $16 million to over $120 million between 1999 and 2002 under Williford's lead.
