Ingenious Med Adds Specialists to Clientele, Cardiovascular Group

ATLANTA, Nov. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Ingenious Med (IM), the leader in inpatient practice management, is excited to continue to add additional specialty groups and meet the increasing demand for a revenue cycle management system that can be utilized enterprise wide. Specialists are quickly becoming an ever-growing segment of IM's client base. Ingenious Med is pleased to announce that Arizona based Cardiovascular Associates of Mesa (CAM) joins the growing number of specialty groups using IM Practice Manager.

CAM has chosen IM Practice Manager to automate charge capture, manage their practice, optimize physician performance and demonstrate quality of care. Kim Cone, manager of IT operations at CAM looked to IM to help synchronize the practice, organize and ease workflow and automate charge capture. "Some physicians were using Outlook to track patients and some just used phase cards," said Cone. "We were looking for a uniform program that would bring convenience and organization to the practice, and wouldn't take long to implement." CAM has opted to get the physicians started quickly by using the web initially and then will later explore the possibility of other devices such as cell phones or PDAs.

Cardiovascular Associates of Mesa also looked at similar vendors, but ultimately felt Ingenious Med offered the full package it was looking for. IM works with customers to cater software to their needs, train users and launch the program in a timely and efficient manner -- typically less than three to four weeks. While competitors often suggest that it will take six months or more to complete roll out, IM plans to have CAM up and running by the end of the month. According to Cone, reasons for signing on with IM include "the option of quickly going live on the Web and the ability to integrate with billing."

IM Practice Manager helps eliminate lost and incomplete charges, resulting in an immediate increase in revenue. Each physician actively using the product could see a $20,000-40,000 revenue increase, while revenue per encounter increases 20-50 percent.
