Informed Medical Communications Sells Consumer Internet Division to Revolution Health
Date:12/6/2007

NEW YORK, Dec. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Informed Medical Communications (IMC), a leading provider of peer-to-peer medical forums for the bio-pharmaceutical industry, today announced the sale of its HealthTalk division to Revolution Health Group. Based in Seattle, WA, HealthTalk is a leading online source of chronic care health information and interactive programming with a wide audience among patients and caregivers. The announcement was made by IMC CEO Steven K. Budd from the company's headquarters in Edison, N.J.

Today's transaction is part of IMC's strategy to increase its corporate focus on becoming the premier provider of medical communications services to the bio-pharmaceutical industry, building on its leadership position in the area of peer-influence programs.

Created by AOL co-founder Steve Case, Revolution Health ranks among the leading online, consumer-focused health and medical resources.

Mr. Budd declared the transaction as an important and positive step for both HealthTalk and IMC. He noted that under IMC, HealthTalk has dramatically increased both its content offerings and market share. "We are extremely proud of the achievements made during the past several years by our HealthTalk colleagues," he said. "With its leading position in providing indispensable information to those with chronic conditions, HealthTalk should be able to further expand its product offerings to its members and contribute significantly to Revolution Health Group. At the same time, the transaction provides us the flexibility to extend IMC's premier services in new and exciting directions." IMC was exclusively advised on the transaction by Savvian Advisors.
