rL Solutions launches new version of Infection Surveillance and Control

software.

TORONTO, Oct. 18 /PRNewswire/ - rL Solutions, the leading provider of healthcare quality and safety software, today announced the release of Infection MonitorPro (IMPro) version 1.1, the latest version of their new Infection Surveillance and Control product.

International Infection Prevention Week (IIPW), running from October 14th to the 20th, is entirely dedicated to educating the healthcare industry and the general public about the importance of reducing infection risks. "It seemed appropriate to release our latest version of IMPro during this week," said Colin Hung, VP Alliances & Marketing, rL Solutions. "Reducing the infection rates at healthcare facilities and allowing Infection Control Practitioners to spend more time on prevention instead of administration are the primary goals of the IMPro product," Hung added.

Developed in collaboration with clients over the past three years, IMPro helps healthcare organizations respond faster and more efficiently to real/potential infections. By monitoring hospital systems in real-time, Infection Control Practitioners (ICP's) are well informed to make life saving decisions more quickly, making healthcare safer for patients, providers and the public.

Enhancements incorporated into version 1.1 of IMPro include:

- More data analysis capabilities - ability to analyze healthcare

acquired infections (HAIs) in multiple dimensions

- Expanded charting capabilities

- Full journaling of ICP notes/comments for each patient

- An improved user interface

- Performance improvements
