WASHINGTON, Dec. 11 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The following is being issued by the American Life League:

WHEN:Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008, 9:30 a.m.

WHERE: Planned Parenthood of Indianapolis, 8590 Georgetown Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46248

WHO: American Life League's STOPP Planned Parenthood project, Right to Life of Indianapolis, 40 Days for Life - Indianapolis, Voice of the Innocents

WHAT: Prayer vigil and press conference to request Attorney General Steve Carter investigate the 35 Planned Parenthood affiliates in the state of Indiana.

WHY: Planned Parenthood in Bloomington, IN was recently implicated in the cover-up of statutory rape of a 13-year-old girl. A Planned Parenthood counselor advised a girl posing as a 13-year-old to lie about the 31-year-old man who raped her and sent her away for a secret abortion in Illinois. In light of this disturbing news, Indiana residents will request an investigation into the organization's guidance practices and statutory rape claims.

"We have much reason to believe that the children of Indiana are in grave danger thanks to money-making agenda of Planned Parenthood," said Jim Sedlak, director of STOPP Planned Parenthood. "It is more financially advantageous for Planned Parenthood to foster a culture of child endangerment and rape -- therefore, they are more than willing to hand these kids back over to their tormentors. We look to Attorney General Carter to enforce the law that protects against this gross abuse and safeguards the innocent children of this state."

Planned Parenthood is the nation's largest abortion provider. Planned Parenthood of Indiana also has recently come under fire for distributing gift certificates that can be redeemed for abortions.

American Life League was cofounded in 1979 by Judie Brown. It is the largest grassroots Catholic pro-life organization in the United States and is committed to the protection of all innocent human beings from the moment of creation to natural death.
