India Abroad recognized Dr.Khanna as one of Americas Top Ophthalmologists

(Vocus) April 24, 2010 -- In a recent issue of March 19 India abroad featured Dr. Rajesh Khanna, Los Angeles LASIK surgeon and CEO of the Khanna Institute of Lasik & Refractive Surgery. In the article India Abroad praised Khanna for his considerable success in the medical field. This includes his recent title as one of America’s top ophthalmologists. This year Dr. Khanna was also repeatedly voted as the best Lasik surgeon by consumers in the Los Angeles area. Dr. Khanna was honored to be featured in such an acclaimed publication.

In the featured article Khanna expressed his passion for ophthalmology and its significance in today’s society. He urges young Indian American physicians “to take up this specialty” because as Khanna explains, “their will be a dearth of ophthalmologists by 2020.”Dr. Khanna is has always been passionate about helping others. For years he has dedicated time and services to helping individuals with vision impairments, now is the time for others to participate, “there is an opportunity for professionals in our community to make a contribution to alleviate those who lead difficult lives because of poor vision, particularly the less fortunate.” Dr. Khanna continues to contribute to foundations he believes in and works toward his goal of helping everyone with vision impairments.
