Imprivata is the Most Widely Selected Single Sign-On Solution by U.S. Hospitals Using McKesson Paragon or Horizon According to HIMSS Analytics

Imprivata will showcase its SSO and authentication management solutions as well as Imprivata Cortext®, its HIPAA-compliant secure text messaging application, in booth #600 at McKesson InSight Users Group 2013 Annual Conference (September 24-27, 2013 in Orlando, Fla.).

In addition, two Imprivata customers will lead speaking sessions at McKesson InSight about Imprivata’s solutions for delivering fast, secure No Click Access® to McKesson Paragon, Horizon and other clinical applications to enable better focus on patient care:

  •     Joe Jagodzinski, systems security at Promedica (Toledo, Ohio), will deliver a presentation titled “When Once is Not Enough: How Two-factor Authentication at the Point of e-Prescribing Reduced Risk and Increased Productivity” (session #3168) on Friday, September 27 at 8:30 a.m. EDT in room W108A. In this session, Jagodzinski will explain how ProMedica strikes a balance between security and productivity by incorporating SSO and two-factor authentication from Imprivata into its McKesson applications for electronic prescribing.
  •     Philip Bierdz, infrastructure manager at Riverside Medical Center (Bourbonnais, Ill.), will deliver a presentation titled “Single Sign-on - Is it Worth the Investment?” (session #3090) on Wednesday, September 25 at 1:30 p.m. EDT in room W109B. In this session, Bierdz will discuss how Riverside Medical Center uses SSO technology from Imprivata to enable fast, secure access to its EHR system and other clinical applications. Bierdz will also walk attendees through the complete process of implementing an SSO solution, from the initial selection to maximizing the benefits.
