Imprelis Lawsuit News: Minnesota Property Owners Report Imprelis Tree Damage as June 28 Deadline to Opt Out of Imprelis Lawsuit Settlement Approaches, Reports Wright & Schulte
Date:6/24/2013

Columbus, OH (PRWEB) June 24, 2013

While reports of Imprelis tree damage have arisen from property owners, lawn care companies and others across the U.S., there has been a recent surge in the number of Imprelis tree damage complaints stemming from Minnesota. These Imprelis Tree Damage complaints and other Imprelis lawsuits (case no. N13C-04-280 EMD) filed against DuPont have alleged that the use of Imprelis – even a single application of the herbicide – has been responsible for irreversibly damaging trees, shrubs and other plant life and that the full extent of the resulting Imprelis tree damage has not yet been realized (as the long-term effects of Imprelis on plant life are currently unknown). The KSTP.com News goes on to contend that DuPont intentionally mislead consumers into thinking that Imprelis was the safe and effective and that, even after reports of Imprelis tree damage began to surface, DuPont failed to admit to any problems with Imprelis; instead, DuPont is alleged to have blamed these reports of Imprelis tree damage on improper application of the herbicide.

June 28th Deadline to Opt Out of Imprelis Class-Action Settlement is Fast Approaching

While some Minnesota property owners and others throughout the U.S. may currently be a part of the class-action Imprelis lawsuit settlement, the experienced product liability lawyers at Wright & Schulte are encouraging these individuals and businesses to opt out of Imprelis settlement by June 28, as DuPont’s settlement offers do not come close to sufficiently compensating consumers for their Imprelis tree damage. In fact, Wright & Schulte’s lawyers have found that DuPont’s settlement offer falls significantly short of adequately compensating plaintiffs for their damaged trees, the costs of re-planting and re-surfacing and the potential loss in property value reportedly linked to the use of Imprelis. “None of our clients are participating in the settlements because the offers are inadequate,” has stated Mr. Schulte.

Additionally, DuPont’s settlement offer has stipulated that the company may refuse to offer compensation to consumers for trees it deems to have not been sufficiently damaged and that it will likely not compensate plaintiffs for alleged Imprelis damage sustained by other brush or vegetation nor for potential future Imprelis tree damage.

By opting out of the class-action Imprelis lawsuit settlement, Minnesota consumers and others can maintain their right to file individual Imprelis lawsuits against DuPont in an effort to obtain the compensation they deserve. As Richard Schulte, a partner with Wright & Schulte LLC, has pointed out, property owners and others have far better chances of obtaining the full amount of compensation they deserve by opting out of the class-action Imprelis lawsuit settlement by June 28, 2013 and pursing individual Imprelis lawsuits. “None of our clients are participating in the settlements because the offers are inadequate,” has stated Richard Schulte.
