'Imaging Musculoskeletal Trauma: Interpretation and Reporting'
Date:1/2/2013

Imaging Musculoskeletal Trauma: A Handbook for the Clinic, published by Wiley, offers a well-designed approach to imaging musculoskeletal trauma. Residents and fellows in radiology, emergency medicine, and orthopedic surgery, as well as practicing radiologists, emergency room physicians, sports medicine physicians, and orthopedic surgeons will appreciate this book's careful but concise review of common fracture mechanisms, examples of fractures using current imaging technology, and up-to-date guidelines on the use of imaging tests.

The scope of material includes normal anatomy, appropriateness criteria for imaging studies, mechanisms for fractures, and fracture description at each anatomic site. In addition, imaging techniques and special views are described as applicable to the trauma patient. It is essential for radiologists, orthopedic surgeons, and emergency room physicians to understand how the images are obtained and which views or imaging planes are best for various anatomic sites.

Complete with on-call issues, common traumas, and specially highlighted "do-not-miss" fractures, this is an invaluable resource for everyone involved with the imaging of musculoskeletal trauma.
