CLEVELAND, Dec. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- IQS, the leading provider of Enterprise Quality and Compliance Management Software, announced today that it has donated over $71,000 in software to Family Health International (FHI) a non- profit organization whose mission is to improve lives worldwide through research, education, and services in family health. FHI will leverage IQS to monitor the quality of products for global donor programs, automate costly lab accreditation procedures for ISO 17025, and ensure efficient lab operations.
FHI monitors products and services from a variety of global suppliers, including major pharmaceutical companies and medical device manufacturers, all over the globe. FHI's disparate systems and manual processes for managing supplier quality and generating supplier scorecards had become laborious and costly. IQS was able centralize and provide real-time insight into supplier quality and to automate scorecard management. The automation provides up-to- the-second information on supplier on-time deliveries, IQS has helped FHI make quality information available to management in real-time to make better business decisions - keeping quality products flowing to their program sites.
"FHI faces the same challenges as for-profit companies," states Steve Hamel, Deputy Director of Product Quality and Compliance at FHI. "We needed a way to monitor the quality of products from pharmaceutical companies and other suppliers, and to ensure world-class lab operations. The IQS software will help in both areas, including the automation of accreditation procedures for adhering to ISO17025, an international standard that specifies the general requirements for the competence to carry out tests and/or calibrations."
