IPitomy Communications Simplifies Disaster Recovery with Cloud Based Solution
Date:4/1/2013

Sarasota, FL (PRWEB) April 01, 2013

IPitomy Communications (IPitomy) today announces the launch of IPitomy Web Services Cloud based IP PBX System. Targeting organizations of all sizes and in any business sector, this new application provides businesses the ability to have a Communications System in the Cloud for use as a redundant IP PBX backup for their on-premise IP PBX System.

With the new Cloud based Technology, IPitomy customers can have a second backup PBX system that will automatically take over as a redundant backup PBX system for disaster recovery. This high availability, geo-redundant backup solution is available for any sized company that values communications with their customers and employees and cannot accept any downtime of the telecommunications infrastructure.

Leveraging Amazon Web ServicesTM, IPitomy creates an instance of its award winning software with the identical programming of the customer’s system. If a failure is detected, the phones will automatically switch over to the redundant Cloud based platform and instantly begin using the cloud. This is engineered to provide unlimited time for customers to resolve onsite issues. While the onsite issues are being resolved, call flow continues and business continues as usual with little or no disruption to sales and service.

One of the key benefits of cloud computing is the opportunity to replace up-front capital infrastructure expenses with low variable costs that scale with your business. Onsite redundancy solutions are costly and have to cover many different scenarios like down phone lines, equipment failures and natural disasters. All of the issues are mitigated using the cloud based disaster recovery system.

“Solving all disaster related scenarios has been difficult using premise based solutions,” says Paul Falanga, IPitomy’s product manager. “Customers can count on IPitomy for new and innovative solutions that go beyond a basic IP PBX solution. Depending upon the severity of the disaster, users could take their phones home, plug them into the Internet and the system would keep on working. In many cases, it may be necessary to send all calls to mobile phones which, when combined with IPitomy’s Mobile Control App, provides an extended feature set to any mobile phone, including the ability to transfer calls from a mobile phone.”

IPitomy is introducing this innovative solution on Amazon Web ServicesTM to leverage the incredible power available from a Cloud computing platform that is geo-redundant, massive in scale and designed to be always on.
