LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y., July 25 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Anthony Shih, M.D., M.P.H., has rejoined IPRO as Chief Quality Officer and Vice President of Strategic Planning, after a two-year stint at The Commonwealth Fund, a national foundation committed to improving U.S. health system performance, where he directed the foundation's Program on Health Care Quality Improvement and Efficiency.

Board-certified in public health and preventive medicine, Shih held senior-level positions at IPRO from 2001 to 2006, including Vice President of Health Care Quality Improvement and Medical Director of Managed Care. At The Commonwealth Fund, Shih worked on numerous policy-oriented publications, and is the lead author of a monograph to be published next month as part of the Commonwealth Fund's Commission on a High Performance Health System.
