IPC Healthcare Names New Executive Director For the Delaware Region

“Clarence’s healthcare leadership experience has been sharpened here at IPC. He knows the marketplace, and has developed and grown in tandem with us as our business grew,” said Glenn Appelbaum, Senior Vice President of Operations for IPC Healthcare. We promoted Clarence to his new position because of his knowledge and expertise relating to sales, operations, and strategic planning. These skills have been, and will continue to be, an asset to our company. “We are excited to spotlight his career growth to others within IPC Healthcare and are thrilled to welcome Clarence to the operations team.”

Commenting on his new position, Smith said, “IPC has been a great experience for me personally and professionally. Since joining the company, I have had the opportunity to work with and be mentored by many of the top industry leaders in healthcare. I feel fortunate to be with an organization that is dedicated to improving care within the acute and post-acute space with innovation, quality and expertise.”

Smith joined IPC Healthcare in January 2007. He has more than 16 years of healthcare experience in various roles, including clinical practice, program management, and business development across the continuum of care from acute in-patient to out-patient services. Smith received his Bachelor of Arts in Bio-Psychology from the University of Maryland. He also earned a Master in Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland, School of Medicine and an M.B.A. from the University of Phoenix. Additionally, he received Lean Green Belt Certification from Arizona State University, Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering.
