IAS Teams Up with RiskWatch to Offer New Hospital Security and School Security Risk Assessments
Date:2/12/2008

ANNAPOLIS, Md., Feb. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Peter Ochinko, President of Ft. Lauderdale-based IAS, announced today the kick-off of a major initiative with top-rated risk assessment software developer RiskWatch, Inc. Ochinko is a retired Secret Service Special Agent and the former Corporate Director of Security at Memorial Healthcare System. Ochinko's groundbreaking work at Memorial Healthcare was so impressive that in 2006, Memorial won the esteemed Lindberg Bell award for the excellence of its program from the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety.

IAS will be using the RiskWatch for Healthcare Security(R) software, and the RiskWatch for Campus Security (R) software, to provide a managed security offering, combining a strong support program including the completion of a full security risk assessment with a follow-on training program.

Hospitals now have to meet higher security standards developed by the Joint Commission and RiskWatch, Inc. recently announced the release of a new software program specifically tailored to the Joint Commission requirements.

The new partnership between RiskWatch and IAS includes the first service offering staffed by Secret Service-trained agents and makes it easier for hospitals, as well as school systems, to get a quality high-level risk assessment that will meet audit standards and actually recommend cost effective solutions such as improved visitor controls, security awareness training and other mitigative solutions.

"The use of an automated, repeatable and verifiable way of conducting risk assessments is the wave of the future in security," said Peter Ochinko. "Risk assessments are the foundation of any security program. The ability to incorporate input from people in different parts of the organization and be able to compare results over time creates a much more comprehensive assessment. We are very proud of our relationship with RiskWatch and our partnership will bring this tech
