IABC Cleveland Presents 'The Changing Face of Health Care Communications' at Feb. 18 Luncheon

CLEVELAND, Jan. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- The Cleveland chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) will host a panel discussion Feb. 18 addressing today's top communication challenges in health care.

Health care communication leaders from six Northeast Ohio hospitals will share how health care reform, public option, social media and more are impacting communication with policymakers, communities, media, donors and employees.

"The Changing Face of Health Care Communications" program will be held at Chancellor University, 3921 Chester Ave., Cleveland, and is open to IABC members and non-members. Registration begins at 11:00 a.m., with lunch and program 11:30 a.m.1:00 p.m.

Sponsored by Chancellor University, the panel discussion will be moderated by Amanda Todorovich of MedCityNews.com. Panelists include:

  • Akron Children's Hospital:  Andrea Joliet, APR, assistant director of marketing and public relations
  • Cleveland Clinic:  Erinne Dyer, director of communications and public affairs
  • MetroHealth System:  Phyllis Marino, director of market development
  • St. Vincent Charity Medical Center:  Wendy Hoke, director of communications
  • Summa Health System Foundation:  Jill Stefancin, communications director
  • University Hospital Health Systems:  Vic Gideon, senior media relations strategist

Cost to attend is $35 for general public, $20 for IABC members (reduced rate of $10 for those members who are in-between professional employment), and $10 for students.
