Hundreds of Fans and Entertainment Tonight Canada Greet Dr. Siegal's COOKIE DIET(R) Creator Sanford Siegal, D.O., M.D., at Book Signing Event in Montreal, Quebec
Date:6/24/2009

Dr. Siegal. "I was particularly impressed by the number of people who knew the true history of Dr. Siegal's Cookie Diet in Canada, and by their enthusiasm over its availability locally."

Dr. Siegal's COOKIE DIET(R) products are available in Canada from doctors, drug stores, and other retailers. In Montreal, they're available at Diet D'Lite (514-426-1914) locations in Fairview Pointe Claire Centre in the West Island and Galeries d'Anjou in Ville d'Anjou. They may also be purchased on CookieDiet.com, the official Dr. Siegal's COOKIE DIET(R) web site, www.CookieDiet.com.

In the early 1970s, Dr. Siegal had an epiphany that would guide the rest of his life and career and spawn his mantra: Hunger Wrecks Diets(TM). He decided to engineer a food specifically to control his patients' hunger and enable them to adhere to the low-calorie diet that he advocated. He combined and processed a mixture of proteins that resulted in a particular combination of amino acids and baked his formula into a cookie.

Dr. Siegal introduced his diet in his South Florida medical practice in 1975 and it was an immediate success. Eating six cookies a day and a particular dinner enabled most of his patients to stick to the diet without significant hunger, and the fast weight loss they experienced kept them motivated until they reached their goal. Dr. Siegal observed no significant adverse effects from his new diet.

Since 1975, more than 500,000 of Dr. Siegal's patients and those of hundreds of other doctors have used Dr. Siegal's COOKIE DIET(R) cookies. At 80, Dr. Siegal personally mixes every batch of his proprietary protein formula in his private bakery near his Miami medical clinic.

In Dr. Siegal's Cookie Diet Book, Dr. Siegal describes the dietary regimen that he has used to help generations of his patients lose weight. But before he tells how
