Princeton, NJ (PRWEB) December 14, 2012

The Hun School of Princeton welcomes M. V. Whitlow Jr. as the new head coach for boys’ varsity lacrosse. Mr. Whitlow has a twenty-year career of coaching high school lacrosse. He will begin working with student-athletes in the spring of 2013.

For the past ten years, Mr. Whitlow has worked at Tri-State Lacrosse, where he is currently the director of the high school all-star program. Mr. Whitlow enters the Middle Atlantic Prep League with great familiarity, having previously coached at both Peddie School and Lawrenceville School. In 2001, he was named New Jersey Lacrosse Coach of the Year for the Risk Division and has been part of twelve State Championship teams.

As a player, Mr. Whitlow was a college standout for the University of Delaware Fighting Blue Hens, where he was twice named Defensive Player of the Year in 1991 and 1992. He also received First Team All Conference honors during the same two seasons. Mr. Whitlow was a member of the 1995 Philadelphia Wings World Championship team.

“We want to set our student-athletes up for success – as people, as students, and as athletes,” said Coach Whitlow. “I’m honored to be the new head coach of boys’ lacrosse at The Hun School. My goals are the same as they have always been, to lay a foundation of hard work, establish a genuine sense of who we are, and to define success on our terms as a team.”

The Hun School of Princeton is a co-educational, independent college preparatory school in which student-centered learning is encouraged within the context of traditional curriculum, preparing its students for the global community in which they will live and work.
