Online Coaching Provides Caregiving Needed Resources and Coping Strategies

Cincinnati (PRWEB) May 21, 2009 -- Hummingbird Coaching Services and Leeza’s Place have teamed to provide online coaching for caregivers of those with Alzheimer’s disease, offering needed resources and coping strategies.

Working on concepts in “Take Your Oxygen First: Protecting Your Health and Happiness While Caring for a Loved One with Memory Loss,” a new book by entertainment broadcaster and Alzheimer’s advocate Leeza Gibbons, Hummingbird’s coaches help caregivers understand the need to first care for themselves as they care for their loved ones.

At no cost, caregivers can log onto the book’s website, www.takeyouroxygenfirst.com, to try out the benefits of coaching for 30 days. They will have unlimited access to a personal coach, who helps them develop strategies to find more personal time and energy.

“There are 50 million people caring for someone with an illness or chronic disease,” said Gibbons in a recent television interview on the Today Show. “Our mantra at Leeza’s Place is that as a caregiver, you really have to nourish yourself first. It's imperative that you take your oxygen first. Otherwise, you’ll be so depleted from the frustration, isolation, stress and fear that you'll be no good to anyone. You realize you can’t do it alone.”
