It is essential that all hospice providers be accountable to the public and Medicare for their business practices, and to use their resources wisely. Hospice of Michigan is a non-profit, community-based hospice serving 900 patients per day in 54 counties in Southeast Michigan. The mission of the organization is to care for all who seek and need our help regardless of diagnosis or ability to pay. Hospice of Michigan relies on charitable donations of more than $4 million annually to cover the cost of care for the uninsured or under-insured.
