Hospice By The Bay Teen Grief Group Offers Support for Ages 13-17

Young people often grieve differently than adults. Hospice By The Bay's eight-week group provides teens, ages 13-17, who are coping with the death of a loved one, a safe, open place to be with other young people who are grieving.

Larkspur, CA (PRWEB) February 9, 2009 -- Young people often grieve differently than adults. Hospice By The Bay's eight-week group provides teens, ages 13-17, who are coping with the death of a loved one, a safe, open place to be with other young people who are grieving. The group is held Wednesdays, March 11th-April 29th, 6:00-7:30pm, at Hospice By The Bay, 17 East Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, Larkspur. Interactive activities offer opportunities to share experiences of loss and memories of loved ones who have died, to express feelings, and to identify ways of coping and growing through grief. Reservations are required. Please reserve by calling the Bereavement Team by March 4th at (415) 526-5699, ext. 8500.

The fee for one group series is waived for those whose family member received Hospice By The Bay's care in the past year. Donations are gratefully accepted. Hospice also accepts Medi-Cal from Marin residents who meet the criteria for services. For other community members, the fee is $175. Hospice By The Bay is committed to providing support to anyone who needs our services regardless of their financial circumstances. Contact our Bereavement Team to qualify for our sliding scale fee.
