Date:12/7/2012

Dollar Bay, MI (PRWEB) December 07, 2012

Horner Flooring has teamed up with bd Global to provide the official playing surface for the MD Anderson Proton Therapy Showcase featuring Texas vs. UCLA in one of the season’s most anticipated early-season games. The inaugural event features a men’s/women’s doubleheader between the Longhorns and Bruins and is presented by the Proton Therapy Center at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center..

“Horner Flooring is extremely excited about partnering with bd Global and the MD Anderson Proton Therapy Showcase to provide a custom floor for this event,” said Doug Hamar, president and CEO of Horner Flooring. “Texas and UCLA are two of the premier programs in college basketball and as such they deserve nothing but the best when it comes to a playing surface for these games. I anticipate both teams will love the surface and it will show extremely well on the national television broadcast.”

Horner Sports Flooring, one of the nation’s leading manufacturers of maple athletic flooring systems, provides multiple permanent and portable athletic maple flooring solutions for all applications ranging from the 2012 NBA All-Star game floor to elementary, middle schools, high Schools and colleges across the country.

“We had the pleasure to work with Horner Flooring in 2009 at our Showcase in St. Louis and jumped at the opportunity to bring a Horner court to Houston,” said Brooks Downing, president of bd Global. “We have the nation’s top cancer center as our title sponsor, two of the elite programs in college basketball and now can add the absolute best playing surface available for these games. It’s shaping up to be an unbelievable weekend in Houston and we are excited to have Horner as a part of it all.”
