Horizon Gynecology & Obstetric Associates Chooses Sage Intergy EHR
Date:1/5/2009

TAMPA, Fla., Jan. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Horizon Gynecology & Obstetric Associates -- a multi-site, 12-physician, 5-nurse practitioner practice comprised of Atlanta Gynecology & Obstetrics and Gynecology & Obstetrics of DeKalb -- have chosen the integrated Sage Intergy practice management and Sage Intergy EHR electronic health records system to help improve their practice's efficiency, enhance coordination of care, and streamline workflow.

Rita Foster, Chief Operating Officer for Horizon, stated, "Our physicians have been looking at electronic health records for quite some time -- visiting conferences and trade shows, seeing literally dozens of systems. We narrowed the field to four companies, and in the end, the physicians chose Sage Intergy EHR for its superior OB chart."

Horizon also chose Sage Intergy Practice Portal for secure, electronic practice-patient communications. Ms. Foster noted that many patients and physicians are demanding more secure, electronic methods for communicating with one another.

"Our physicians want to be a full-service, patient-focused practice for the Atlanta area," Ms. Foster said. "Our patients made it clear that they're tired of filling out paper forms in the office, that they want electronic solutions for requesting appointments and prescription refills. Intergy Practice Portal will allow us to offer these services and more, in a secure manner."

"The Sage Intergy EHR OB Chart was developed by a board-certified gynecologist/obstetrician," said Sharon L. Howard, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing. "We're pleased Horizon's physicians felt it was superior to the other systems they reviewed. We're also pleased to note that Horizon has been a Sage customer for more than 20 years. That they chose to stay with us shows that our commitment to our customers is paying off."
