Date:8/23/2013

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) August 24, 2013

Hope For The Warriors® is excited to announce the addition of a new office located in Santa Monica, CA. Hope For The Warriors® is active nationally, but this addition will help strengthen outreach efforts on the West Coast. Hope For The Warriors® is a national nonprofit organization that assists combat wounded service members, their families, and families of the fallen.

Hope For The Warriors® recently held the San Diego Run For The Warriors® Presented by SIEMENS. With several hundred in attendance, it was a great way to kick off the organization’s new community presence in Southern California.

Efforts on the West Coast will be led by Sarah Duerr, Community Relations Coodinator. Duerr is focusing on building a community in Southern California to support the needs of today’s military families. Duerr has been involved with Hope For The Warriors® part-time since 2008. She led member of Team Hope For The Warriors® as they raised more than $700,000 while competing in the ING New York City Marathon, the New York City Half Marathon, and the TD Five Boro Bike Tour. Duerr was a public educator for 10 years prior to joining Hope For The Warriors® and has a Master’s in Exercise Physiology. She is also an ACE Certified Personal Trainer.

“I am confident that there is a need for our presence in Southern California,” says Duerr. “I am ecstatic for the opportunity that Hope For The Warriors® has given me and look forward to building new relationships in a new part of the country.”
