Wagyu beef is not exactly easy to afford, nor is it easy to come by. HHWagyu is happy to announce its partnership with Honey Hollow Ranch in Jacksboro, TX in an effort to bring high-quality full-blood Wagyu beef to customers through an easy online ordering system.
Honey Hollow Ranch, a cattle-breeding farm founded in 1995, has been strategically bringing the art of breeding 100% full-blood Wagyu cattle to the United States. Primarily raised and bred in Japan and Australia, Wagyu cattle produce succulent cuts of Wagyu beef that rival most all other types of beef. It is important to note that many people have difficulty understanding the difference between another gourmet meat, Kobe beef, and Wagyu. To keep it simple, Kobe beef also comes from Wagyu cattle, but only cattle bred exclusively in the Kobe region of Japan. Wagyu cattle raised in any other area will produce meat known as Wagyu, or Kobe-style.
Wagyu beef is visually striking due to its marbling -- the term marbling refers to the fat laced between the muscle fibers. Along with the high marbling standards of Wagyu beef, there are also a multitude of health benefits. Wagyu beef is rich in mono-unsaturated fats, omega3, omega6 and oleic acid. This healthy, gourmet concept has fallen victim to many breeders that are producing 50/50 Wagyu cattle. This refers to cattle that are bred by using one full-blooded Wagyu cow with another type of cow. Unfortunately this has diminished the reputation of the quality of Wagyu beef.
