County Refusing to Provide Benefits Agreed to in July
MARYSVILLE, Calif., Oct. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Homecare workers will announce at a press conference on Wednesday the filing of a formal complaint against Yuba County for refusing to implement portions of the caregivers' health plan, in violation of the contract that both sides agreed to three months ago.
County officials maintain that they cannot provide the "umbrella" benefit to caregivers employed by Yuba's In-Home Supportive Services, despite the fact that numerous other counties have implemented identical programs. Yuba County specifically agreed to this benefit when negotiating and ratifying the contract earlier this year.
