Holland & Knight Welcomes MARC Associates - Experts in Health Care and Intergovernmental Policy - to the Firm's Public Policy & Regulation Practice

WASHINGTON, Dec. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Holland & Knight LLP today announced that, effective January 1, 2009, it will welcome MARC Associates to the firm's public policy and regulation practice. MARC Associates are experts in health care and local government policymaking and have a distinguished client base. Other areas of expertise include energy and environment, housing, commerce, education, and transportation.

"We have been looking to strategically bolster our federal regulatory and legislative practice in anticipation of the immediate changes expected with the new Administration and Congress," said Rich Gold, head of Holland & Knight's public policy & regulation practice. "The reputation and diverse talent that we are adding to the firm is precisely what we need to create strong growth prospects and provide one-stop shopping in these areas looking ahead to 2009."

"The proactive agenda being set by the new Administration and Congress will bring immediate challenges and opportunities for clients. Advocacy will require showing tangible economic results in order to succeed," said Dan Maldonado, who, with Randy Fenninger, founded MARC in 1985.
