St. Jude is the only pediatric cancer research center where families never pay for treatments that are not covered by insurance. The hospital's daily operating costs are nearly $1.3 million, which are primarily covered by public contributions.
Opened in 1962, St. Jude freely shares its research findings with hospitals everywhere.
St. Jude's International Outreach Program shares its expertise and knowledge with partner countries around the world, including Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, and Venezuela.
