Highmark Receives Prestigious Brand Excellence Award

Recognition Showcases Loyalty toward Blue Cross Blue Shield Members

PITTSBURGH, March 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield announced today that it has received a Brand Excellence Award from the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association (BCBSA). The annual awards honor Blue Cross and Blue Shield companies that excel in developing and enhancing the overall Blue Cross and Blue Shield Brand image.

Highmark is being recognized with a Brand Excellence Award in the Member Recommendation category for achieving a high percentage of members who would recommend one of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield companies to someone they knew. Highmark members are confident of the services and products they received and would recommend them to family and friends.

This marks the second occasion that Highmark Inc. has won a Brand Excellence Award -- they previously won in 2000.
