Date:12/7/2009

CAMP HILL, Pa., Dec. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Highmark Inc. recently awarded $7,000 in grants to 14 nonprofit organizations in which Highmark employees volunteer. Through Highmark's Employee Volunteer Grant program, employees applied for $500 grants to benefit the agencies they hold close to their hearts and support through volunteerism. Highmark recognizes the impact these organizations have in our community in addition to the powerful influence the employees have on the organization. With the employees' acute knowledge of the agencies' needs, the grant dollars can be utilized in the most effective and appropriate way.
