HighPoint Solutions Signs Deal to Implement Model N Managed Care and Government Pricing System for Specialty Pharmaceutical Company
Date:6/18/2008

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa., June 18 /PRNewswire/ -- HighPoint Solutions LLC, a premier provider of business-driven IT solutions, today announced that it has signed an agreement with a global specialty pharmaceutical company to design and implement the Model N Managed Care and Government Pricing System.

Recently, pharmaceutical companies have been challenged with finding systematic approaches to effectively comply with government regulations placed on drug pricing policies. This continuing increase in government regulations, and the industry's competitive landscape, has created the need for our client to establish a complex pricing strategy that is affected by many processes and systems throughout the company and difficult to manage.

"Not complying with government regulations can expose pharmaceutical companies to potential revenue loss, legal risks and other associated business challenges," explained Arnab Sidker, Managed Markets Solution Lead at HighPoint Solutions. "HighPoint has strong expertise in pharmaceutical contract lifecycle management and a significant understanding of the best practices in the industry to address these issues. By implementing the Model N Government Pricing solution, our client will have more visibility into its product pricing data and will be able to more confidently ensure its compliance with all appropriate policies."

HighPoint Solutions will be implementing the Government Pricing and FSS (Federal Supply Services) Compliance modules of the Model N Revenue Management suite. The Model N Government Pricing application is a powerful tool designed to manage both the data and calculations required for government pricing compliance and reporting, including price threshold alerts, approvals and the creation of an audit trail. The FSS Compliance module helps to ensure preferential pricing is given to federal purchasing organizations and helps companies avoid associated fines of non-compliance.
