Heritage Woods of Watseka Affordable Assisted Living to Host Summer Social
Date:8/16/2013

Bradley, Illinois (PRWEB) August 16, 2013

Heritage Woods of Watseka – a BMA affordable assisted living community – will host a summer social at 2 p.m. on Aug. 21.

The community, which is located at 577 Martin Ave. in Watseka, Illinois, serves older adults of all incomes, including those on Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.

“Come and mingle with residents of our affordable assisted living community and enjoy some delicious summer refreshments,” said Heritage Woods Administrator Tracey Hardy.

The social is open to the public; there is no charge to attend.

For more information, call 815-432-4560.

The Heritage Woods of Watseka affordable assisted living community combines residential apartment home living with the availability of personal assistance, help with medications and a variety of convenience and support services.

“We provide a wonderful alternative to a nursing home or to struggling alone at home,” says Hardy.

Residents live in private apartments that they furnish and decorate to their tastes. Each of the studio and one-bedroom floor plans includes a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, individually-controlled heating and air conditioning, and emergency alert system.

Certified nursing assistants, working under the direction of a licensed nurse, are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Meals, housekeeping and laundry are among the included services.

“Residents also benefit from all of the opportunities that are available to socialize with friends and neighbors and participate in activities and special programs,” says Hardy.

Heritage Woods of Watseka is the only community in Iroquois County that is certified to operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program. The affordable assisted living community is managed by BMA Management, Ltd., of Bradley, Illinois.

BMA Management is the largest provider of assisted living in Illinois.

“Our focus is to provide the residents of Heritage Woods of Watseka with the love, compassion and dignity they deserve and the help and assistance they need,” says Rod Burkett, President and CEO of BMA. “Our emphasis is on helping each resident to achieve and maintain as much independence as possible for as long as possible.”
