Date:8/4/2013

Bradley, Illinois (PRWEB) August 04, 2013

Heritage Woods of Rockford – a BMA affordable assisted living community – will host a Hawaiian celebration on Saturday, Aug. 17. The celebration, which will feature hula dancers and tropical beverages, will take place from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Heritage Woods.

The community, which is located at 202 N. Show Place Dr. in Rockford, Illinois, serves older adults of all incomes, including those on Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.

“Take a break and enjoy an island getaway at Heritage Woods,” said Yvonne Peterson, Director of Marketing for Heritage Woods.

Photo opportunities with a Tiki god will be available. Images will be emailed to guests.

The celebration is open to the public. There is no cost to attend.

For more information, call 815-332-3700.

The Heritage Woods of Rockford affordable assisted living community combines residential apartment-home living with the availability of personal assistance, help with medications and a variety of convenience and support services.

Each of the private studio and one-bedroom apartments at Heritage Woods includes a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, individually-controlled heating and air conditioning, and emergency alert system.

Certified nursing assistants, working under the direction of a licensed nurse, are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Meals, housekeeping and laundry are among the included services.

"Residents also benefit from all of the opportunities that are available to socialize with friends and neighbors and to participate in activities and special events," says Peterson.

Heritage Woods is certified to operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program and is managed by BMA Management, Ltd., the largest provider of assisted living in Illinois.

"Our focus," says Rod Burkett, CEO and President of BMA, "is to provide residents at Heritage Woods of Rockford with the love, compassion and dignity that they deserve and the help and assistance that they need. Our emphasis is on helping each resident to achieve and maintain as much independence as possible for as long as possible."
