Heritage Woods of Plainfield, a BMA affordable assisted living community, will serve as a mobile site for the Secretary of State’s Office from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 30.
The community, which is located at 14731 S. Van Dyke Rd. in Plainfield, Illinois, serves older adults of all incomes, including those on Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.
“Avoid the lines and come out to Heritage Woods to visit the mobile DMV,” said Leah Suzanne, Director of Marketing for Heritage Woods of Plainfield.
Guests will be able to get their state identification card or driver’s license renewed, register to vote or update vehicle registration.
Fee reductions may be available for senior citizens.

The Heritage Woods of Plainfield affordable assisted living community combines residential apartment-home living with the availability of personal assistance, help with medications and a variety of convenience and support services.
"We provide a wonderful alternative to a nursing home or to struggling alone at home," says Suzanne.
Each of the private studio and one-bedroom apartments at Heritage Woods of Plainfield features a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, individually-controlled heating and air conditioning, and an emergency alert system.
Certified nursing assistants, working under the direction of a licensed nurse, are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Meals, housekeeping and laundry are among the included services.
