Heritage Woods of Huntley Assisted Living to Host Open House and BBQ

Heritage Woods of Huntley, a BMA assisted living community, is hosting an Open House and Barbeque Luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, may 31.

The community, which is located at 12450 Regency Parkway in Huntley, Illinois, serves older adults who need some help to maintain their independence.

"Join us for a delicious barbeque luncheon and live entertainment," says Susan Schaefer, Administrator of Heritage Woods of Huntley.

There is no cost to attend. Tours of Heritage Woods will be available.

Heritage Woods is managed by BMA Management, Ltd., the largest provider of assisted living in Illinois. The company, which is based in Bradley, Illinois, manages 36 assisted living, senior living and memory care communities.

Our emphasis is on helping residents to achieve and maintain as much independence as possible for as long as possible."

Schaefer adds that "we provide older adults with a wonderful alternative to a nursing home or to struggling alone at home. Residents benefit from living in a residential apartmnent-home environment and receiving personal assistance and help with medications."

Private studio and one-bedroom apartments are available, with each of the apartments featuring a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, individually controlled heating and air conditioning, and emergency alert system.

"Residents furnish and decorate their apartments to their taste," says Schaefer.

Certified nursing assistants, working under the direction of a licensed nurse, are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All three meals each day, housekeeping and laundry are among the included services.

"Residents also benefit from all of the opportunities that are available to socialize with friends and neighbors and to participate in social activities and special events," says Schaefer.

Communities managed by BMA Management include the Heritage Woods affordable assisted living communities in Batavia,Belvidere, Bolingbrook, Chicago, DeKalb, Gurnee, McHenry, Plainfield and Yorkville, Illinois.

BMA also manages the Churchview Supportive Living community in Chicago and the Heritage Woods affordable assisted living and memory care community in South Elgin.
