Date:12/16/2012

Bradley, Ill. (PRWEB) December 16, 2012

Heritage Woods of Gurnee, a BMA affordable assisted living community in Gurnee, Illinois, is hosting a Holiday Open House from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 19.

The community, which opened in October, serves older adults of all incomes, including those on Medicaid.

“We invite you to take advantage of this special opportunity to see Heritage Woods and learn about the affordable assisted living lifestyle that is available,” says Tammy Temaner-Rosas, Director of Marketing for Heritage Woods. “We’ll have holiday entertainment, be serving light refreshments, and holding a raffle for those who attend,” Rosas.

Heritage Woods of Gurnee is located at 3775 Grand Ave. in Gurnee, Illinois.

Additional information about the Holiday Open House or Heritage Woods can be obtained by calling 847-623-6300.
Heritage Woods provides older adults with a wonderful alternative to a nursing home or to struggling alone at home, says Rosas. Residents live in private apartments, and personal assistance and help with medications is available.

Each of the apartment features a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, and an emergency alert system.

Certified nursing assistants are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Meals, housekeeping and laundry are among the included services.

“Our focus is on providing residents with the love, compassion and dignity that they deserve in addition to the care and support that they need,” says Rosas. “Our emphasis is on helping each resident achieve and maintain as much independence as possible for as long as possible.”
